A Russian arbitration court has ruled in favor of Gazprom Export in a lawsuit against TAG GmbH, the operator of the Trans Austria Gas pipeline.
The Arbitration Court of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region granted Gazprom Export’s claim, effectively invalidating payment demands made by the Austrian company regarding 12 invoices.

The judgment underscores the intensifying legal friction between Russian energy exporters and European infrastructure operators in the wake of sanctions.
By dismissing TAG GmbH’s claims, the court reinforces Gazprom’s position in ongoing commercial disputes that have proliferated since the breakdown of traditional gas flows to Europe.
