Transcorp Group has reported a pre-tax profit of N75.9 billion for the first half of 2026, according to a report by Nairametrics.
The figure represents the consolidated result for the conglomerate, which operates across power, insurance, and other sectors in Nigeria.
The headline number masks divergent trends within the group's key subsidiaries.
Transcorp Power, the group's energy arm, saw its pre-tax profit decline by 6.37% year-on-year to N54.99 billion in the same period.
Despite the softening in profitability, the power unit announced a dividend of N1.50 per share, maintaining its payout policy amid operational headwinds.
In contrast, the insurance division demonstrated stronger momentum.
