Russian state-owned pipeline operator Transneft reported a 1.1% year-on-year increase in oil shipments for export via its network in 2025, according to the company's annual report.
The rise in export volumes occurred even as total crude oil intake into the company's trunk pipelines fell slightly, marking a divergence in flow dynamics for the key infrastructure provider.
2% below 2024 volumes and 3% below 2023 levels, the report showed.
Total crude intake into Transneft's trunk pipeline system in 2025 was 0.2% below 2024 volumes and 3% below 2023 levels, the report showed.
The data suggests that while overall throughput has softened compared to the previous two years, the proportion of crude destined for export markets has remained resilient or increased relative to domestic flows.
The figures provide a snapshot of Russian oil logistics amid ongoing global supply shifts.
While Nigeria’s crude production has seen increases in recent months, and the United States has driven significant growth in global LNG exports, Transneft's data highlights the continued importance of Russian pipeline exports in the global energy mix.
