Anthony Jones (UK) Limited (AJL) has ceased all regulated activities in the United Kingdom, effectively ending its ability to provide services on behalf of insurance companies.

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) confirmed that the insurance broker agreed to the cessation of operations, which took effect on 9 July 2026.

The regulator has urged customers of AJL to immediately check their insurance policies to ensure coverage remains valid and uninterrupted.

The move marks a significant disruption for clients relying on the broker for policy administration and claims handling, as the firm can no longer act as an intermediary between policyholders and insurers.

This development adds to a broader landscape of regulatory scrutiny within the UK insurance brokerage sector.

While the specific reasons for AJL's cessation were not detailed in the initial announcement, such actions often follow compliance failures or financial instability.
