Serhij Fedorenko has been appointed as the new CEO of Ukraine's state-owned oil and gas conglomerate, Naftohaz.

The supervisory board of the company confirmed the appointment, marking a significant leadership transition for one of the country's most critical energy assets.

According to Bankier.pl, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the decision on Friday.

Fedorenko, a prominent figure in the energy sector, takes the helm at a time when Naftohaz is navigating complex operational challenges and strategic restructuring efforts.

The appointment comes against a backdrop of heightened geopolitical tensions.
