XIAOMI CORP.'s latest indoor security camera that features a telephoto lens, ultra-zoom capability, and 4K recording is now available in the Philippines.

The Xiaomi Smart Camera C701 Pro is priced at P5,999, and is available via the brand's official online shop, Shopee, Lazada, and Xiaomi offline stores.

The C701 Pro has a dual-camera setup made up of an 8-megapixel (MP) ultra-wide lens and a 5MP ultra-telephoto lens with ultra-HD 4K imaging. Both cameras have back-illuminated sensors.

The camera offers a 360-degree horizontal view and a 180-degree vertical view.

It also has a hybrid zoom feature to give users a better view, with the dual-camera setup keeping details sharp.

"The C701 Pro's 9x Ultra-HD Zoom pulls a child, a pet, or a far corner into clearer view. Its Zoom Close-up feature brings distant details nearer, while automatic tracking can follow a person or pet as they move, so the camera keeps up with the action instead of holding on to one empty spot," Xiaomi said.

"Ultra-low light color imaging holds on to detail that dim rooms usually wash out. And the infrared night vision works without any visible red glow, so it can watch over a nursery without a telltale light to disturb anyone's sleep," it added.

The C701 Pro also comes with improved AI algorithms, enabling adaptive-speed and dynamic subject tracking.

"The C701 Pro can pick out people and pets, notice movement, and flag a crying baby or an unusual sound. It handles that on the device rather than in the cloud, and it encrypts the data it sends."

It is also capable of smart monitoring for specific areas, sending proactive alerts when children enter or leave a designated area, which are only sent when activity occurs within designated zones.

For privacy, the C701 Pro includes physical lens shielding, with a cover that can block the lens when monitoring is not needed. The shield can be lowered by hand or through the app.

The camera has Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth pairing, with the Xiaomi Home app bringing the live view, alerts, voice features, and camera controls in one place.

It is also capable of two-way voice calls. "When someone at home wants to reach you, they can make an 'OK' hand gesture toward the camera to prompt a call to the linked smartphone, without having to navigate the app."

The C701 Pro comes with a 1T flagship chip to support AI features, as well as an MJA1 security chipset.
