Bank Asia PLC has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Building Technology & Ideas (BTI) Limited to provide streamlined home loan facilities for prospective flat buyers.
The agreement, signed by Bank Asia’s deputy managing director and head of retail banking, Syed Zulkar Nayen, and BTI’s executive director of marketing, Mashrur Hasan Mim, is designed to offer convenient and attractive financing terms to customers purchasing apartments from the developer.
The collaboration allows BTI customers to access mortgage products directly through Bank Asia, reducing the friction often associated with securing housing finance.
By integrating the loan application process with the property purchase, the partnership seeks to accelerate sales cycles for the developer while expanding Bank Asia’s retail lending book in the residential segment.
This move aligns with a wider regional trend where financial institutions and real estate firms are forming strategic alliances to address housing affordability and access.
Similar partnerships have been observed elsewhere in Asia, including Muthoot MCred Ltd’s recent agreement with South Indian Bank to offer affordable housing loans, and Thai developer MTC’s closure of a $70 million social loan facility with Bank of China.
