Continental Holdings Limited (CHL) has secured a 93% subscription rate for its initial public offering, with investors purchasing 701.8 million shares at K195 each.

The successful placement raises K135.4 billion, marking a significant capital injection for the firm ahead of its debut on the Malawi Stock Exchange.

The high subscription level reflects robust demand from both retail and institutional investors, according to market reports.

Analysts have welcomed the result, noting that the near-full subscription indicates strong confidence in the company’s valuation and growth prospects.

The offering was managed by EmpowerX Consult, which had previously extended the subscription window to ensure broader participation.

Continental Holdings is set to become the 17th listed company on the exchange, expanding the market’s depth and diversity.
