Fidson Healthcare has declared a ₦3.6 billion dividend, reinforcing its strategic push to become Africa’s largest pharmaceutical manufacturer.

The payout comes on the heels of strong first-half 2026 results, where the company reported a 28% increase in profit after tax, lifting net profit to ₦7.7 billion.

This marks the most capitalised firm on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) healthcare sector as a key beneficiary of resilient domestic demand and operational efficiency gains.

The dividend declaration underscores Fidson’s ability to generate free cash flow even amid broader economic challenges in Nigeria.

By returning capital to shareholders while maintaining investment in manufacturing capacity, the company is balancing immediate investor returns with long-term growth objectives.

The move is likely to be viewed positively by equity holders, particularly given the company’s consistent track record of profit growth in a volatile macro environment.
