Norsk Tipping has reopened its Oddsen betting platform following a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack that disrupted services earlier on Sunday.
The state-owned gambling operator confirmed the restoration, ending a period of unavailability that began around 12:20 CET.
The incident forced the company to temporarily suspend online betting as it worked to mitigate the cyber threat.
Press officer Stian Simensen previously stated that the operator was acting urgently to address the disruption.
The swift resolution suggests the attack did not result in a prolonged outage or data breach, though specific technical details regarding the attack's origin or scale were not disclosed.
The disruption occurred during a period of heightened activity for the operator, with Norsk Tipping typically keeping its platforms open around the clock during major sporting events such as the World Cup.
