Eurobank has raised its full-year profit outlook after reporting net income of €738 million for the first half of 2026, driven by stronger-than-expected performance across its core markets.

The Greek lender’s Cyprus operations were a standout performer, contributing €231 million to the group’s bottom line during the six-month period.

The results underscore the resilience of the bank’s turnaround strategy, which has been gaining traction amid a stabilizing macroeconomic environment in the region.

By lifting its annual guidance, management signals confidence that the momentum from the first half can be sustained, potentially rewarding shareholders with continued capital returns.

This financial strength aligns with recent industry recognition, as Eurobank was named Cyprus’ best bank for 2026 by Euromoney, which also highlighted the lender’s dominance in the large corporate segment.

The awards reflect the bank’s improved operational efficiency and market positioning, factors that are now translating into tangible earnings growth.
