The private sector lender’s results, released on Saturday, highlight a significant acceleration in profitability driven by robust net interest income and lower provisions.
IDBI Bank, for instance, saw a 5% year-on-year profit increase to ₹2,115 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026.
Net interest income rose 21% to ₹1,075 crore, while customer business expanded by 18.6% year-on-year.
Loan growth stood at 20.6%, supported by a steady rise in deposits.
The strong performance contrasts with more modest gains reported by other Indian lenders in the same period.
