The Soyabean Processors Association of India (SOPA) has issued a positive outlook for the country's kharif 2026 soybean crop, citing healthy plant growth and satisfactory field conditions across major producing states.
The trade body noted that sowing has progressed well, with the oilseed planted on over 111 lakh hectares (11.1 million hectares) nationwide.
This development arrives as global soybean markets have recently seen upward pressure.
Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) soybean futures advanced on Monday, driven by a rally in soyoil prices and renewed purchasing activity from China.
The most active contract rose 0.24% to trade at $11.45-1/2 per bushel.
India is one of the world's largest producers and exporters of soybeans.
