NCC Bank PLC has entered into an agreement with the Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) under the Credit Enhancement Scheme (CES) for the fiscal year 2026-27.

The deal is designed to broaden institutional financing opportunities for micro entrepreneurs across Bangladesh, leveraging PKSF’s role as a key intermediary in the country’s microfinance sector.

The signing was witnessed by Md Fazlul Kader, managing director of PKSF, and Md Habibur Rahman, deputy managing director of NCC Bank.

The partnership aligns with broader efforts by Bangladeshi financial institutions to increase credit penetration among small-scale businesses and rural enterprises, which remain critical drivers of domestic economic activity.

This move follows a pattern of strategic collaborations in the region’s banking sector.

Recently, City Bank and mobile financial service provider bKash reported that cumulative disbursements for their joint digital nano loan program surpassed Tk 10,000 crore, highlighting the growing scale of digital micro-lending.
