Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS) has reported a net profit of 9.8 billion dinars for the first half of the year, maintaining stable operations amid fluctuating energy markets.

The Belgrade-listed company, which is majority-owned by Russia's Rosneft, highlighted that its core refining and marketing activities continued to generate consistent cash flows despite headwinds in the wider European energy landscape.

The results underscore the company's ability to navigate supply chain complexities and domestic demand shifts.

NIS, which operates the largest refinery in the Balkans, has faced ongoing scrutiny regarding its strategic direction and dividend policy, but the H1 figures suggest operational stability remains intact.

The profit figure reflects the company's focus on optimizing refining margins and managing inventory levels in a volatile crude environment.

This performance comes as regional energy markets adjust to shifting geopolitical dynamics and supply routes.
