Speaking at the 33rd ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Ministerial Meeting, Dar emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to facilitating de-escalation and peace processes.
His remarks underscore a growing diplomatic consensus that unresolved geopolitical frictions in South Asia and the Middle East are creating compounding risks for global trade and security.
The intervention comes against a backdrop of intensifying tensions in the Persian Gulf.
Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) members, alongside Jordan, recently issued a joint condemnation of repeated Iranian attacks targeting Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates.
Qatar has specifically condemned drone attacks on vessels near its coastline, describing the incidents as a dangerous escalation of regional hostilities.
