Swedish poultry producer Scandi Standard has agreed to acquire Glenhaven Foods, one of Ireland’s largest manufacturers of frozen, breaded chicken products.
The transaction is valued at approximately SEK 1.4 billion and marks a significant step in the company’s strategy to consolidate its position in the European processed meat market.
To finance the acquisition, Scandi Standard is combining debt financing with a SEK 400 million equity raise.

The capital injection is designed to fund the purchase while maintaining the group’s financial flexibility for future operational integration and potential follow-on investments.
The deal gives Scandi Standard direct access to Glenhaven’s production facilities and distribution network in Ireland, a key market for frozen poultry products.
By adding Glenhaven’s portfolio of breaded chicken items, the Swedish group aims to broaden its product offering and strengthen its scale against larger international competitors in the sector.
