Togo will launch a new fundraising operation on the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU) regional government securities market on Friday, Aug. 7.
The country's Treasury aims to raise CFA20 billion through the issuance, which will comprise three- and five-year maturities.
The auction represents the latest step in Togo's ongoing efforts to manage its sovereign debt profile within the CFA franc zone.
By accessing the regional market, the government seeks to diversify its funding sources and maintain liquidity for public expenditure needs.
This issuance follows a pattern of regular borrowing activity by the West African nation.
Togo previously raised CFA20 billion in a July 24 auction and CFA25 billion in a July 10 tender, indicating a consistent approach to debt management and cash flow replenishment.
