Methodology

How we curate

Coverage on Handelsavisen is curated, attributed and explainable. This page describes how companies earn their place on our pages and the discipline behind what we publish. Curation orders and contextualises — it is never investment advice.

How companies are surfaced

Editorial
Editorial judgment Does the company matter to our readers now — and is there a sound, explainable reason to feature it?
Data coverage How much of the record we hold — filings, IR, transcripts and market data, linked to one canonical issuer.
Sourcing discipline Every analytical claim must trace to an attributed source before it is published.

Companies are considered in their sector context, not against the whole market, and selection is revisited as new filings, announcements and material changes arrive. Where the record is thin we show what we have and say so — a section without verified data reads "— missing data" rather than a guess. What we surface is an editorial aid, never a buy or sell verdict.

Firm GPR exposure

Context
Revenue geography Share of revenue earned in or routed through elevated-risk country pairs
Supply chain Input dependencies on chokepoints and licence-controlled materials
Event sensitivity How sharply the shares have historically reacted to clusters of geopolitical events

Built on the same 17-pair stability board used by the Geopolitics desk. A high reading means exposure, not prediction.

Country-pair stability

Regime
Event flow Frequency and severity of typed events over trailing 90 days
Direction Trend of the trailing 30-day window vs the prior 60
Structural Alliances, sanctions regimes, trade dependency

The regime label (Stable / Uncertain / Frozen conflict …) reflects the balance of these signals plus direction. Δ-prob is the desk's 30-day estimate of a regime change.

Inputs: filings · IR · transcripts · market data · attributed analyst research. The process is reviewed quarterly by the methodology board.
