Serbia’s consumer price index rose 2.7% in June compared with the same month a year earlier, according to data released by the Republic Statistics Office (RZS).

The monthly inflation rate remained contained at 0.2%, indicating a gradual pace of price increases in the Balkan economy.

6% level reported in the prior period, suggesting that inflationary pressures are stabilizing rather than accelerating.

The annual figure represents a slight moderation from the 2.6% level reported in the prior period, suggesting that inflationary pressures are stabilizing rather than accelerating.

The RZS noted that the monthly increase was consistent with recent trends, reflecting a balance between domestic demand and supply-side factors.

This release adds to a mixed global inflation picture for June.

While South Korea saw its CPI jump to a 30-month high of 3.2%, China’s consumer prices rose just 1.0% year-on-year as cooling energy costs dampened headline figures.
